Going to be honest. Judges don't award full custody to a father, not unless the mother is in prison, or dead, or has multiple court convictions that she has actually harmed the child.

As for Alimony? Depends on what jurisdiction you're in.

In most states, the base calculation of alimony and child support is based on a formula. You should be able to look that up if you don't have an attorney. If she is earning enough to support herself, alimony may be out anyway. It is also based on how long you were married.

Keep in mind that sole custody is rare. If she gives it up, that is one thing, but in most states, 50/50 is assumed. Saying you have thoughts about hurting a child doesn't not bar someone from custody. There have to be police reports, medical reports, proof of addiction, etc. In other words, hard evidence.

Not much, if anything, you can do to prevent Child Support. If you make more money, then you’ll be paying CS.

Alimony depends on different factors. If you and her are anywhere close to the same income, then I wouldn’t worry about it, but if you make $250K/year and she’s a SAHM, then you’ll be paying alimony.

As far as domestic violence/threats to the child go, it has to be documented with police reports and Child Services/CPS reports. 50/50 is what you should expect as long as you live in the same city.

So i was a ke to get primary custody and the court and everyone essentially thought i was making shit up.. the tune only changed when my ex had to show up for a meeting.. and it happened to be when she was falling apart (wouldnt take care of herself to the extent she was a danger to the kids).. which happened irregularly but all i had was my word against hers.. The pics of her cutting her wrists, the letters the kid had written about what a mess her mom was and just wanted her to be better.. detailing both what had happened regularly and a detail.occurance.. were all considered circumstantial or they didnt believe me and the kids.. it was their assumption that i had convinced the children to all lie/adjust the truth...

Till she had to be literally carried into the custody meeting because she couldn't stand on her own.. thats the only point at which they even began to consider any of what the kids and i kept saying as valid. And even though she could barely walk, and would drive the kids and other things, forget what she was doing while driving.. she still got 25% custody... As her parents had done everything they could to make sure her suicide attempts, duis and other things were kept out of the court system. Yes their was still a record but they had them sealed, saying it was drs mis prescribing stuff.. eventhough i know for a fact shed take her heavy duty meds and drink her ass off.. then drive..

Hell she even called the cops a few times i 302d her and she got out of that... telling the 911 operator that their were witches in the house... ugh... So if theirs evidence you need to bring it up make sure its known and make sure your lawyer knows..
