Find a side gig when you don't have your kids, and don't tell anyone about it.

It's risky, since a judge might base you support payment on two jobs. So, be careful how you tread there.

Otherwise, you can live on 175$ a week. Tight, but make sure you pay yourself first. Set aside, even if it's just 20$. But save some money every week

Do you have a signed court order outlining your 50/50 parenting time? If not, don't move out.

Maybe a smaller apartment? One bedroom? The kids can have a roll away.

Maybe an apartment further way where cost of living is cheaper.

$175/week after bills is pretty good. People have mentioned Uber or Lyft I’ve seen guys do that just to produce some extra income and had good luck with them. Especially when they figured out the system. Bartending on weekends will get you some good extra income. Flipping things you can get for cheap or free by just selling after getting them and washing them. Like couches, furniture or toys.

$250 with 4 kids? You lucked out. I would suggest learning how to cook so you can all eat well and not have to dine out. That's the first thing. Cook at home.

Don't know if this will help, but with the DOT's mandate that all trucks have ELDs, have you considered moonlighting as a tech for trucking companies that need tech support? Trust me, our IT guys are way overworked, and need all the help they can get.

Donating plasma can get you couple hundred bucks more a month with fairly minimal effort.

P.S. plus that money doesn't count as income so can't be imputed by the law (or the IRS).
