Recently I went thru mediation about this and the mediator did everything they could to just leave out personal property. However we didn't have anything of significance anyway but if i guess It would come down to if your trying to fight for something or she is. If it comes down to premarital property and she is laying claim I suppose you would have to try and prove it?

In my mediation we agreed she can take anything from the house except garage. Guess what anything in her mind was translated to everything. She took most of the stuff but I can rebuild. Normally it is related to furniture, electronics, house mess. She took even custom curtains. Not sure where she can use them. I believe she was guided by friends who now own some of it. 😃 The only thing I stopped her to take are door knobs and curtain rods as it was too crazy.

She moved out early to live with her friend. She took her clothes, makeup, computers, and all the money in the bank account. I stayed in the house until it sold. So I had physical possession of the furniture, tools, photo albums, wall art, etc etc.

The court order was surprisingly simple. "Wife and husband to divide all property inside marital home 50/50" (or similar, don't have the decree on me, but it was definitely a one-liner).

I documented everything. I took upwards of 500 photos. Rooms at wide angle. Expensive stuff up close. Some serial numbers. Click click click click. Some video. I shared all of those on Google drive and asked her what she wanted.

She wanted anything which would be easy to pawn, stuff like power tools and electronics. You got it! I organized it all in the garage and took another 100 photos. I added memorabilia like pictures, kids' school work, Christmas ornaments to the collection just to show good will. More photos.

If it ever did turn into a he said / she said thing, I was prepped. I figured the good will (all the extras) and the checking account statement (missing money) would win me cash prizes if she ever went batshit crazy enough to bring it in front of a judge.

It was all wasted effort. She took the stuff and left and nothing more was ever said. But I'd do it the same way again if I had a do over.

My state, it's all pretty much equally both yours. So, you split it as 50/50 as you can agree on.

I slowly and deliberately removed all my personal items to a separate location, then I also moved a number of shared sentimental items to another location. For example, I took the high-end power tools, then picked up some harbor freight tools which she demanded she should get so I "let" her have them. Everything else either wasn't worth anything or I was willing to give up. I picked a few items that I didn't really care about, then acted like I cared about immensely to her so when it came time to split items she thought she was pulling a fast one on me or depriving me of cherished items meanwhile everything I really wanted was already gone. Besides the said tools I didn't deprive her of anything of significant monetary value, and things that were truly hers she kept. I lost a couple items that I wish I had but I can live without or I don't need to replace (such as an old SLR that she never cared about or even knew how to use but I wish I had).
