Men of r/Divorce_Men -- if you were the one to leave your wife in a situation where there was no cheating, it was simply a change of your heart and a slow burn of issues over the years (e.g. unfortunate circumstances) -- were you ever vicious or mean to your STBXW? If so, why? I am trying to figure out why someone ripping my heart out and burning my whole world in front of me can be this venomous towards me. I am nothing but nice in return. I say nothing but "thank you" and/or "please know I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make this work"

He knows I'm heartbroken and how fucked I am going to be because of this-- and the SADDEST part is is that his issues are his own. All pride & ego based. - he'll learn that the hard way though when he has no one to look at but himself, after ruining a relationship that wasn't the problem.

Anyways, why the anger when you're the one leaving?
