My stbxw moved out on Saturday and I have been through every stage of grief, it seems multiple times, in the 6 weeks since she told me she wanted out.

But, I’m starting to notice the simple pleasures I normally didn’t have. She is not a sports fan and I love them. I felt I couldn’t put a game on at night as we had to watch something we both enjoyed when we would sit in front of the tv. Football games were only watched by me. I grew up where our whole family would watch football, make Chili, get pizza, sit by the fire and enjoy the game.

My kids will sit with me sometimes, but their lives are busy being teenagers.

Since Saturday night, I’ve had baseball on every night and am right now watching the Braves/Red Sox game. I love it, no guilt, not worried if she wants to watch it and am thoroughly enjoying it.

It’s a small win, but hoping I can build on this to revive who I should be and who I can become after being dealt the worst thing I’ve ever had to deal with.

I hope you each are able to find a similar pleasure you could not before.
