Brothers, I’ve got to seriously thank all of you on r/divorce_men and r/divorce . It has shown how awful divorce can get the longer one drags a marriage. I’ve been in such a state of wanting to save my marriage.

She’s called me abusive, that I am the reason why she’s a drunk, that I don’t try hard enough, or take her on dates. I’m a 100% disabled vet and it’s all the income I get. I also go to school. I’ve been the primary income in my household. I’ve been so stressed trying to pay for everything. Getting in large amounts of debt. She doesn’t even work 40 hours a month. I’ve begged her for years to help me.

Finally we are at divorce and she’s gonna pick up a second job. We have a house underwater that I am most likely going to take over. She doesn’t even want to sign herself off of the house out of pure pettiness. It’s a -40k and growing liability due to the market. She’s fucked me financially, mentally, emotionally. It’s seriously going to be hard even thinking about having another relationship.

I’m just exercising, eating way better, and being an awesome dad for my two girls. This divorce has nothing to take so it’s gonna be short and sweet. I should be done with a CS degree soon and hope I get a decent job. I can’t imagine building wealth and working so hard for a family. All for the spouse to be a POS at the end. I asked her to give me more love as a partner and she’s decided to divorce. The fuck kind of response is that.
