My (30M) wife (26F) seems to think her taking a solo vacation to meetup with people she’s only met online playing video games with.

She met them earlier this year, back in January, and already has the plane ticket for the tip in July, which is to New Zealand from the states. A 7,000 something mile journey, by herself, first time ever going anywhere. 24 hour flight, 3 layovers there and back.

I told her this isn’t a decision she gets to make by herself, and I’m just uncomfortable with the situation overall.

This isn’t anything new, really. We’ve been together nearly 9 years now and she’s always done what she’s wanted and gotten what she’s wanted. I told her she’s being selfish and self-centered.

We’re currently in marriage counseling and during our last session, I brought up how I just don’t feel respected by her and how this trip makes me feel, we were already over our one-hour mark and the therapist said we’ll resume this during the next session.

But they both looked at me like I was an idiot for expressing my feelings on the situation. At this point, I’m beyond tired of the disrespect and if she follows through with it, I have already a divorce contract and will file the day she leaves.

Valid crashout? Am I overreacting? Thoughts? Advice? Opinions?
