I work in the city but live about 40 minutes away in the suburbs. I would prefer to move to the city close to my work given the demands of my job and where much more of my life outside of work would be. I would like to be close enough to my kids’ school that they could walk to my place but obviously that doesn’t work if my stbx won’t move to the city as well. I’ve found it really difficult to pick the kids up from school if they’re sick so I wonder if it’s realistic to maintain the current living situation.
