So the dating app data doesn't tell the full story.

Firstly there's lot more men using the apps than women.

Men were asked to rate how attractive women were and there was a broad spectrum but they mostly focused on the top 20% they found attractive and were unlikely to message someone they didn't rate as attractive

Women only selected a small number of men as highly attractive, but they were open to messaging men they rated as unattractive if there was something else on his profile they found interesting.

I think men are mostly shit, because most men have treated me like shit. This goes back to my grandfather and father, but also every ex I've ever had... Which the majority would be what you call "nice guys" or "betas". My bestfriend of life is an "alpha" male, whom always wanted me and I never ended up giving a shot (we're still friends 35 years later); he also has a ton of casual sex, but he actually respects women more than any "nice guy" I've ever met. My friend is honest about his intentions, and when he is rejected, he takes it in stride.

Men encourage eachother to lie, manipulate and game women, and this is what eventually turns our opinions against those who are so clearly against us.

And you're not a "nice guy" if you are trying to strategize how to "get" us, nor if your views include those which don't see women as equal human beings.

Their conclusion comes from some basic premisses that are by themselves extremely questionable:

- The women in dating apps are a valid representation of society as a whole.

- Women lack the ability to properly identify the best men in a given group.

- Women agree (among themselves) on who are the best men in a given group.

The first one is the most relevant. Not everyone is drawn to dating apps. They are not representative of how people outside them think.

If you don't assume the second, you can't just disconsider the (very real) possibility that the bad impression is caused by the de facto best options. Giving chances to guys who have shown more blatant red flags on their profiles might lead to a happy marriage with someone who's just socially inept... or might lead to even more problems with a guy who hates women and wants every one (including his girlfriend) to pay for that. Topics like "girls who gave the nice guy a chance" are very common in reddit and the majority of the experiences were negative.

The third is a simplification of reality. As much as the top guys do receive more likes, average guys still have some likes once in a while as long as he has reasonable standards. While the idea that women are more selective is a reasonable perception, standards are still individual even though they might have some patterns here and there.

I don't want to cause a stir, but no one can really debunk the red pill. Anyone who's an adult and has been out dating and hanging out knows it's all true. Some people exaggerate the red pill truths. But most of the red pill is just reality. The more you hang out and the more you date the more you know the shit is real.

Women see men at school, job, grocery stores, reddit, family gathering... And makes their view about men from all the data they gather from everywhere, not just from the dating apps. From all these data, and not only dating app, they conclude rightfully that most men are trash.
