My partner didn’t go to college and doesn’t plan on going to college in the future. He works hard in jobs that don’t require a college degree and is not lazy at all, but college wasn’t his thing and he feels like it’s too late now for him (he’s in his 30s). I’m in my 20s and in university and LOVE school. I want to go to medical school actually and become a doctor. But I was panicking about making more than him and him leaving me.

He says he’s not that type of guy and that he supports my goals but I’ve heard so many horror stories. I’ve been better about this now; because in the past I was willing to not pursue education after college and just stick to a bachelor’s degree and purposefully look for jobs that only pay $30k-40k a year so that I wouldn’t be making more than him. Now I’m set on my goals and want to achieve my dreams.

Does anyone have the relationship dynamic in which the woman makes more than the man? Or do all guys end up resenting women who make more than them?
