Same shit, different name. Grifters have to repackage and reinvent to keep the grift alive and give rubes the feeling they're onto something "special" and "new" and something that captures the current zeitgeist. After "redpill" is dead there'll be some other thing to package up the same.

I mean, of course you can point to a bunch of minutia and pick apart the details, but that's playing the game that any of it presents a serious or useful framework.

Probably has to do with dating app culture. I see a lot of guys who are likely red pilled talking about apps as if there’s no other options.

Red Pill is nothing but a rebranding of PUA. Rollout Myassi himself used to be part of sosuave.com which was an old PUA forum, and most of the shit he writes are rip off of PUA ideas. Roissy and Roosh V are ex PUAs too. I remember an old school seminar DVD by Neil strauss himself and Mystery who coined the expression "seeing the matrix" to refer to the ability to decode social situations when you learn "game"... and "taking the red pill" as leaving your old life to become a PUA.

Someone recently posted here asking about "neo-masculinity". It's the same shit under a different name. PUA, red pill, "neo-masculinity", incels, black pill...it's all just different branches of the same tree that is "the manosphere". At the root of it is misogyny/patriarchy. They all serve to uphold the same dated ideas about gender, dating, relationships and so on. The communication styles of those content creators has just shifted and adapted over time as trends come and go. We'll see the exact same message being presented in a different voice in the next few years. It's just how it goes.

Pickup is still alive and well its just evolved. Many of them don't call themselves pickup artists and instead go by dating coaches. Also many redpillers are dating coaches on the side.

I was interested in PUA in the 90s when I just wanted to be able to find a woman to date or have a relationship with. It was a little off target as they were only interested in sex, but I figured that maybe I could still use their techniques for my goals. When I first heard of The Red Pill it was an article criticizing Roosh V around 2011, a PUA guru who was advocating a Mgtow lifestyle. That's the one difference I can tell is PUA was just a way for single guys to get sex, but TRP was a way of being a shit that would bleed into your entire life including relationships. TRP is more extreme because factions of it blatantly advocate cheating amd double standards, and generally treating women like crap.

PUA and redpill are more or less the same thing. I assume that at some point PUA stopped making money, so grifters made some changes and started to sell same shit again. And it's going to happen again but with redpill.

PUA intent is on chasing pussy while Redpill’s intent is bettering men. The only issue with RP today is that the market (or manosphere in general) has been over saturated with grifters and snakes. RP was initially made because men didn’t want to associate themselves with MGTOW over the issues that I previously mentioned. Now that MGTOW is dried up, alot of them have hopped on the RP label and brought us to where we are today.

I hated when red pillers started to incorporate PUA concepts into their ideologies. It’s not that the two ideologies can’t coexist though, they can and do. It’s just that I found it disingenuous when red pill lecturers would be duplicitous in their advice. They’d say that women are hypergamous (they are), and that women can’t really love men for who they are, but for what they bring to the table (mostly true), then they’d give advice on how to get women, and their advice would be all about playing into her hypergamy. It’s like wait what? Your solution is just to play along and conform?

I guess it’s true though that the red pill is just the truth about the way things really are. But it’s funny that you would give all these warnings on bad female behavior then turn around and teach men how to attract women using their vain nature to gain an upper hand. In reality you should be warning men to stay away from that type of woman and maybe advise on how to find better quality women instead of complaining about a situation that you are encouraging men to get into. You’re warning about the problem and then advising us on how to be a part of the problem. Makes no sense

Just duplicitous. Also probably just an indication that most of them were profiteers in it for the money. Many of them still do this too

PUA still exists. Playing with Fire is a very popular one. And Owen Cook has been re-uploading his old pick up videos.

But both of them are against the RP though. PUA is an extremely wide thing, anyone who teaches how to seduce is PUA, there is not one specific ideology.
