This is why parents should never have images of their children online, especially facebook. It’s so sad that parents nowadays can’t even do something so innocent as uploading a cute picture of their kid on fb so granny can see because of sickos. Parents literally have to go back to physical photos and only distributing them to relatives.

I saw this article. The little girl has a disease, does modeling and pageants. Her mom has a Facebook page where they share health updates, community projects, and her modeling work.
I know that ladies here are probably not huge on children modeling or doing pageants, but for children with diseases or disabilities it can be an opportunity to feel empowered and seen. It can also provide other kids with the same condition a role model.
The whole situation is disgusting. Not even sick children and their families are safe from perverts and creeps.

It's disgusting, people are going to have to send private photos and texts to just those specific family members too.
I do think its wrong now to just blast everything about an infant/toddler online now, though, due to this and because I'm sure 20 years from now, people aren't going to appreciate the fact that mom did a whole facebook live event about them potty training.
I know a former college friend who only posts about the drama in her life and her children and I'm like; ugh oversharing much? Some people can be too much, I think.
So theres a balance between occasional, appropriate updates and blasting everything personal about a child before their even aware of whats going on.

The Facebook friend may not have been looking for anything graphic, whether that makes it better or worse. Sex toys and dolls come up if you are looking at collectible or novelty dolls that are aimed at adults (think your grandmas porcelain babies or Bob Mackie Barbies).
