This is sexual harassment/assault especially if he touched you. Please report him to the gym and/or police

Don't offer to be friends with guys who hit on you. 9/10 they can't handle that boundary and see your relationship as an obstacle to be overcome.

Yeah, and it’s disrespectful to the relationship and bf and not a HV thing to do

Came here to ask this. There is none? She let a creepy guy, whom was very clear about wanting to have sex with her and for her to cheat, think they were friends and then he started hitting on other girls and it stunned her?
OP did you want him to pine over you? Did you really think you were friends or something after he made his intentions so clear?
The strategy should have been ignore him and report to the gym, quietly, that he was bothering you while working out or any variation of this would have worked.
Wtf am I reading? OP, I don't mean to be rude, but do not give a creepy ass like this any attention or let him think you are gym buddies. At all. Girl, there is no strategy here except that you let him orbit you and still think he had a chance. I'm going to bet 1,000% he does not leave you alone even if it takes a while. Don't get yourself into these traps. He sounds like a loose nut. He grabbed you? Why are you stepping outside with some guy you know wants to have sex with you. Shit. Honestly. You have to be WAY more careful than this.
His true colors didn't "come out." He made it immediately known he only wanted you for sex (please don't tell me you thought he was in love?). This is why it was easy for him to move onto other girls. He had no intention of being friends with you and just needed a willing girl.
I'm seriously lost on this one.

It just shows that OP hasn’t really read the handbook…

That was my question too. What’s the strategy OP??

Thank goodness my gym has a "no bothering people" policy. And they actually enforce it! It's awesome. So glad I joined. No texting while on equipment, no videos, etc. And I'm getting strong!
Anyway, I try not to make eye contact at all when I'm at the gym. My existence is not an invitation. I'm just trying to level up physically. Which is a bit awkward since I noticed that hot gym guy is my neighbor and we both walk there around the same time..... I wouldn't mind starting a conversation!

Just ignore a Scrote like that. Don’t even look them in the eye. I don’t talk to men who don’t deserve to talk to me. Besides, the gym is a place to workout, it’s not a place to “hangout”, mingle, flirt or hookup. Why would I want to do that anyway when I’m all sweaty, serious and focussed. If you interrupt my workout or think you are entitled to take up time during my busy schedule, then you are being disrespectful and inconsiderate.
Wearing headphones at the gym helps, even with no music playing.

I don't talk to men who are strangers. I don't have male friends and I would particularly not have male friends that work in violent professions like the military.
Men don't do real friendships with women unless they are HV and we know how rare they are. Do you think a HV man would want to work in a job where he kills and rapes women and kids?

Exactly. 100% all of this. Military men are an immediate red flag.

I'd be looking for a new gym.
