Prior to FDS and at the beginning of my FDS journey, I was super angry, bitter, & resentful toward men.. the list of adjectives goes on. I had attracted the worst: the neglectful and abusive gamer, the unaffectionate and lazy alcoholic, the raging methhead junkie, the cheaters, the guy with a girlfriend already. The hurt seemed insurmountable and the possibility of finding anyone was unlikely in my mind. I believed there were no hvm out there and wallowed in this for a while

I stopped dating and chose to focus solely on myself on my growth. I looked into attachment style & healing from childhood traumas. I recognized where I fell down in my own thinking and worked to fix it. I try to recite in my head a gratitude prayer each night, or throughout the day, seeing what I have instead of what lacks. Knowing that all is provided to me. Soon after doing this work, I met a man who instantly began pursuing and doting. 4 months into dating, I was dx with breast cancer and underwent double mastectomy. I gave a very easy out but he didn't budge. He grocery shopped, cooked, cleaned, sponge bathed, offered to wipe for me, complimented passionately, changed my burnt out lightbulbs, among many other things.

Despite the turmoil that life presents and the unfortunate people we encounter, we're responsible for how we choose to think & react to those thoughts. Nasty energy repels all high value people; grateful energy attracts what we desire.
