Certain cultures romanticize abusive relationships and in turn favour low value behaviour.

In my culture, I have seen and experienced this first hand. Let me summarize in points.

  1. Too much fighting between couples symbolises a loving bond. WHAAAATTTTTTT?
  2. Calming down your angry manchild and then he just starts having sex with you out of nowhere. No indication of consent here but it's supposed to be passionate and romantic.
  3. Men getting jealous is thought of as something cute but not the other way around.
  4. Stalking. Getting stalked by your ex or a stranger who just wants your number because he saw you reading at the coffee shop is considered so normal and charming.
  5. Men constantly taking charge of their women's financial and other important decisions so that she doesn't have to think much and can focus on the household stuffs. They make this degrading treatment sound so caring and responsible.
  6. Women taking care of their alcoholic or porn addicted or smoker or unemployed husband is seen as an asset.
  7. Manhandling of your body in an aggressive manner is supposed to turn you on. No, pushing me hard against the wall isn't sexy. It's straight up assault.

There are actually many but rn I can think of only these. To add, a recent survey done in our country shows only 26% of men do any kind of housework and I bet, they only take out the trash after being told so many times. Even then, it'll be romanticized, like wow he's so caring, he goes to work and even helps at home and then they want to be get blown as a reward. It's a shame.
