I’ve realized in life that the best way to get someone’s attention is to virtually ignore them. People, especially men, want what they can’t have. Let them chase after you. The longer you wait to respond to their texts, the more desperate they become. Don’t make yourself too available. Even if you are free on a particular day they ask you out, tell them you’re busy. A HVM will pursue you.

Once he has proven himself a HVM, you can slow down a little. BUT. Never make him think he “has you”. Not even when you’re in a relationship. Because that’s when they get bored. To men, relationships are a prize. You gotta make sure that he knows you can walk out the door any time you want and find someone 10000x better.

Sucks that we gotta play these mind games with men, but we have to protect our hearts from being used.
