I dated a guy for a few months. He was previously married. His family was having a Fourth of July party and he invited me along. But then his brother called him up- his ex wife was coming, so he couldn’t. I thought that was weird.

Turns out his ex had a restraining order. Learned to do background checks after that.

I got approached by a guy 17 years older than me (I was 21 at the time and just before I got into my first serious relationship) way back when. Immediate red flags. He'd always slag off his ex girlfriend and said stuff like "I made her fresh squeezed orange juice in the mornings, I was the best boyfriend" blah blah blah.

Didn't feel right. Ran a background check. Tons of insurance fraud, theft, money fraud, etc. Ghosted lmao.

Literally happened to me when I was a lot younger and naive, went out with a guy, then found out he'd soon be going to trial over murdering another woman. He's in prison now thank god but he actually dumped me for another girl lol.
