I’ve been seeing this guy for almost two months now, we are now exclusive and have been intimate together. The beggining was great, he made good impressions of being considerate gentleman. Took me on nice dates, paid, drove me around when I needed, has a well kept appartment, well dressed and groomed, polite, shared similiar interests as me.... But I’m starting to have some second thoughts as we are starting to get to know each other.

He is currently on vacations and I will go on my own vacations for two weeks before he comes back. My second week of vacation I’m supposed to visit some family abroad but due to an increase in covid cases, it may be compromise. The other day we were chatting about his vacays, and when he asked me how I was doing I told him so and that it made me pretty upset I may not be able to travel. His reaction was “hahaha. The advantage is that we get to see each other sooner and we can go on a weekend together.” While the sentiment could have been nice, I felt quite annoyed that he laughed and did not acknowledged me being upset. I answered dryly “I would prefer it work out because I don’t get to see my family often.” And he was like “Oh. You have family abroad I didn’t recall.” Which further infuriated me as I had told him about 4 times I had family who lived in said country and that I was planning to see them during holidays. I know people, but I feel like family are stuff your ought to remember about your partner. I remember the timeline of his vacations and everything he told me about his family.

I’ve also started to notice some patterns such as me always carrying the conversation, as in asking questions, whereas he will only do the minimum if I’m not keeping it going. He’s also started posting a lot on social media, posting stories everyday, pics of himself. I’m starting to feel like he’s not as considerate as he first portrayed himself to be, and might as well turn out to be a self-absorbed man not so much worth my time.

What do you ladies think?
