I've found it to be quite the opposite. It's actually a great tool for me. Men that approach me tend to be very confident, especially men that tend to be way shorter than me, 5'10 and below. I've dated guys of all heights ranging, 6'7-5'8.
I think it helps that I'm confident with my height. When I wear heels I get to be 6'7 and tower over the little men :P

I haven't dated in a while but I've observed a trend where men really do try to bait you into making their work for them.
Instead of asking you out -> They give a million hints and flirt. Like boy no, I'm just gonna think you're a fuckboy or not understand what the hell you're doing and lose interest
Instead of giving some thought to what they should put on their bio or what they should talk about on a date to give a good and accurate impression of themselves to the other person -> Ask me anything
Instead of using some basic observation skills to realize that scratching the clit doesn't produce pleasure and googling themselves to make lovemaking a better experience -> "JuSt CoMmuNicAtE, how am I supposed to actually make an effort in bed if you don't tell me to??"
