To add a layer to the last point, you shouldn't be the sole initiator of conversations re next steps, such as exclusivity or marriage.

You mean how I'd bake my soon to be ex a cake/treat every year for his birthday, and when I asked him to do the same for me, he "didnt have time" and "you're the better baker anyway"? How I'd get up early to do shit for his family when he wouldn't, let alone do things for mine?
