His option. Accept that he did something that distanced you. Analyze his actions to determine if his behavior warrants change or not. He either determines he did something based on what he said, or he can pretend that he did nothing because he's either unable or unwilling to see the problem with his behavior. Or he legit did nothing wrong and he accepts that there's nothing he could have done.

Or he insisted thinks "I am uncomfortable with these feelings coming up and I can't look at them because I am not emotionally equipped and I don't want to feel pain, question my behaviors, and my worth. Instead I can stir up drama to distract myself from the issue at hand. I can maybe get her to re engage with me. I can either convince her that she's a bitch, crazy, ECT, or I can make her feel bad about herself. I can pretend that I don't even care that she blocked me and I'm a cool guy who isn't hurt by it. I will only pretend this as long as she is willing to engage with me. Then if I feel her pulling away I'll be sure this time to do the rejecting. "
