Since joining I've really changed how I evaluate men for dating. I've been stricter about seeing that they have a sense of who they are, what they're doing, and what they want with their life.

The result, unintentionally, is that physical attractiveness has a lower bar. I look at them and think, if they had all their shit together, how would I feel about their appearance? Like, it's no longer a category on its own that compensates for lacking direction, employment, or respect.

And that got me wondering, is there an issue with helping a guy out with presentation? Like, I realize a lot of guys don't have a clue about style. Especially ones that could be very career focused in areas that don't require professional standards.

TL;DR can a man still be HV if you want to take him to the mall once or twice, go somewhere other than Supercuts, and buy him a trimmer for Xmas?

Edit:. I'm rethinking this and instead, plan to just dress properly on dates, and expect him to either start doing the same or realize he's oblivious to his presentation.
