Additionally, learn to recognize when you're trauma bonded to someone. If you miss someone who was abusing you it's not because you love them, it's because they manipulated your brain chemistry and got you addicted to the hormones that were being released in response to their cycle of abuse.
Never break no-contact with someone who abused you, no matter how painful their absence is. It's quite literally like you're an addict jonesing for a fix.

This 100%. I was so trauma-bonded to my ex that I kept going back over and over, over the span of five years. I didn’t actually love him that whole time, I was just addicted to the highs and lows of our relationship.
