YES.
My biggest new perspective was from "single life is lonely" to "single life is peaceful." I dealt with so much stress, chaos, and drama in my last relationship that everything felt so calm and easy when I kicked him out.

I think one of the posts here awhile back said something like, “a man isn’t competing with other men, he’s competing with my peace and solitude.” That really resonated with me, because I am pretty content on my own. So now that’s my philosophy — does he bring more enrichment and happiness than I can find on my own? No? Then goodbye.

Yup. The first moment for me was when I bought myself my first designer purse and I felt like I had to HIDE it from my ex LOL. Then one day I was like wow, I can't marry this guy. If we ever divorce someday, he'll ruin everything I've worked hard for.

Yes!! I strongly believe we DO need to go through certain trashy relationships to be able to learn and appreciate the good ones when they come... It can be applied to pretty much everything else in life too.
