My ex bought rings from Walmart and convinced me we were married spiritually after agreeing “never to fight again.” I was so love addicted that I convinced myself it was “romantic” and “creative.”

Trying to laugh now but I’ll admit it’s still kinda hard to know I fell for that. But don’t worry, i didn’t stay long.

ETA: last I heard about him was a few years ago when he referred to our relationship as a failed marriage.

Omg right??? He didn't respect me, he didn't love me, and cheated on me the whole time, but told me I was the love of his life and couldn't wait to spend his life with me, all the while cheating on me. He ended up leaving me for the other woman , which hurt at first, but now I laugh at how dumb I was. I hope they're happy, but a relationship starting as the other woman is not exactly solid.
