In a lot of cases, it's so they can share dick pics without the risk of being booted from the platform. Women can't report bad behavior through the app if it happens off site. They're trying to protect their accounts from their bullshit behavior. It also gives them another avenue to keep tabs on you and get more of your personal information. On a lot of social media accounts you can search for a phone number and find someone's account.

This is why I suggest that women don't move off of the apps for communication until they've thoroughly vetted a man. And, even when you do, make sure to use a google phone number, not your real one.

I'm the only one who's less worried about them finding my social media but more worried about my phone number written in toilets in pubs and clubs or on pornhub or any other hooker site?

Like let's say they find my IG account, what they gonna do? stare at pictures of me in Bali until i die or until i text them back? lmao. They can have fun with my social media, it's all secretive anyway.

I always found it weird. The ones who do that to me have always been Stage 5 Clingers and fuckbois.

Easier to send unsolicited pictures or ask them from you, or send sexually charged messages without being banned from the app since it's all over text so there's no papertrail on the app.

They usually say to me, "hey, what's your number? So much easier than using this dumb app lol."

How is using the app more complicated than texting. Unless you're constantly in an area with no wifi and have like no data to use, it's not? I'm legitimately confused at that, although it's probably just a line they throw out, hoping you'll take the bait.

I mean I was a proponent of meeting up within the week we started messaging in, bc if he didn't arrange a date he'd sink to the bottom of my matches (major metro areas = men for days). But I never gave my number out unless I'd gone on two or more dates with them. The apps work just as well, plus who needs that many Mikes in their phone? Highly recommend getting a free text app/number or two because it also is great for those guys who insist on putting their number in your phone/texting you immediately to make sure you gave them a real number. They text the fake one, you show them the text and escape, then you delete the random app account. IDK about y'all, but I never know which men are set off by rejection or could be violent and it's just easier to give them a fake number and be done with it, safely.

I am a HUGE fan of Google Voice. You can and should create a new Gmail STRICTLY for dating purposes and create a google voice number associated with that gmail. Don't use your real first and last name. Give them this number when dating, and not your real number.

When shit hits the fan, simply "disable" the google voice number and re-enable it and choose a different number.
