I don’t really even see it as a dating strategy. It’s just a reminder that I deserve to be happy in a relationship and am more than just playing the “role” of a girlfriend to someone.

I’m only going to be in a relationship if I have the space to be a full fledge individual within it. How many years did I take it as normal that a guy’s eye would glaze over whenever I talked about my job or interests? How long did I internalize that and think to myself the problem was that I dare think my romantic partner would care about my life?

This place is validating that we are people and should not conform ourselves -and cut off chunks of who we are- to fit the mold of this “girlfriend” boys want. Women get to have standards and be selective in who we date too.

It’s ridiculous that the above isn’t just a given and it took me damn near 30 years to learn it.

Even if this sub was about “hating” men (which it isn’t, it’s about not wanting to date LVM how dare we!) there are subs about torturing and KILLING women, subs about exchanging child porn. Why are scrotes never as vocal about and against those subs? Because they are the same men in those subs.
