First, I'd like to ask if you ever dated or hell, even KNOWN a much older man than yourself that became obsessed with you. This CAN be in your young teens, 20s, mid 20s, etc. but not limited to your age. Any instance of when an older man, whether by a little or a lot, was creepily enamored by you.

-------------------------------

My story: I've been studying music under the same instructor for over 15 years, ever since I was a teen. (Stopped lessons once COVID kept skyrocketing in Spring.)
This man is 60 or so years older than I am. (So that would mean when I was around 15, he was in his 70s.) In Asian cultures, we are always very polite to our teachers and elders. My parents would treat him to dinner every once and awhile, as this man was also well-known in his home country back in the day.

Some time had passed when I went off to college and could not continue my string lessons. But I had recently come back, and he recovered from major surgeries, albeit mourning his wife. This man had grownup stepchildren but other than that, he lived alone. My family had helped him when he was in need since he lived alone and could not walk very well.

Now I continued my weekly string lessons and nothing ever struck me as odd about this man. Just thought he was a senior citizen who needed help or friendship. I figured he was my teacher and he was seriously being less mobile, so the least I could do was to help if he needed.

But, COVID had hit so I let him know I would not be continuing string lessons. He insisted that we continue in-person lessons, and that "not much time was left." I was firm about the COVID risk. He would call my phone once every couple of days, trying to negotiate to continue lessons. He would even call past 9 just to get me to talk to him about in-person lessons! First, he said that he could give me free string lessons. Still said no. Then, he blabbered how he had a house back in his home country, that he could transfer it to me if I were to marry him. When my family heard of the drivel he said, they were completely disgusted. I felt completely bewildered that this occurred. A teacher that I held much respect for ended up being well, I don't know how to describe. It scared me that's for sure. He had never exhibited abnormal behaviors. before. But that's how screwed up things happen - often unexpectedly.

To this day, he still tries to call my phone number. I have him blocked.
