It's so prevalent I noticed this pre-FDS. I had a medical emergency and a scrote who heard about it thought I wouldn't notice his attempt hidden in the well wishes mesage. Another one swooped in when I was freshly grieving the end of a ltr. It's like someone else said, they were looking for vulnerability to take advantage of.

When I'm doing well, happy, and thriving they are nowhere to be seen.

It's when you're the most vulnerable to their manipulation. You know you aren't looking your best, you're sick, worried, anxious .... thus easier prey.

Because it's about power, control, and dominance. They're predators, and they have an uncanny knack for seeing a woman preoccupied, off in her own thoughts, struggling, or just living her life and doing random errands and not expecting some inane/insane come-on.

Last week I was walking out of a doctor's appointment, weird plastic glasses wrapped around my head because my eyes were dilated. I'm 53, and I weigh over 250; I dress all the time in black pants and usually grey tee shirts (basic and I own it, I have no fashion sense). Random security guard whipped past me in a golf cart (hey, at least I'm not so blind that I ran into him), and then doubled back, and said, "Hey, I'm going around picking up good looking women, want a ride to your car?" HELL NO after that line. Bizarre. Again, there's no way a random male could approach me out in public without setting off alarms. It just does not work.

Oh man, the airport. I have never been hit on by so many service workers in my life, and then the other passengers. Like wtf, I'm dressed like shit and uncomfortable. I think they just like vulnerability i.e. a woman with a bunch of bags by herself.

I was hit on at the gas station by a kid (20 yrs. old?) working there. I was hot, my antibiotic was giving me gas pain, my messy bun was crooked and I was dealing with personal shit and had no patience left. He started asking questions like, "just getting off work?", "what do you do?", "oh so it's an easy job?" and all I did was grunt at him, I didn't even engage and he didn't take the hint.

I'm shoving my debit card into the machine to pay for my stuff and he's just standing there, stupidly, staring at me. The screen isn't changing and I'm waiting to hit buttons and he's saying shit like, "that's a nice dress" and I was giving him the Thousand Yard Stare. He then says, "Oops! I forgot to hit the button! My bad!" and the screen finally changed. This kid was keeping me there to hit on me. I wanted to punch him in the face.

I asked a man why they did this. His answer was that they knew they needed to “move quickly” before another guy did and you lose your chance with her.

They know there’s competition for us. When we are looking and feeling our best, the LVMs and NVMs are probably not going to have the nerve to “compete” for you with the HVMs.

But when we’re at a low point because of a recent breakup, they think they stand a chance.

Out of the mouths of scrotes… 🤡
