I met someone on OLD yesterday and we were talking about a language we had in common. I was really excited because I rarely meet people who can speak it here. For context, I studied the language for years while I lived in the native country.

Me: So you can speak ___ language, that's cool! Where did you learn it?

Him: In college. They were offering free classes so I signed up

Me: Was it like a course?

Him: No it was just one-day class but I put it on my bio because it has to show for something right, lol?

Me: ...

Lying about height and age to bypass filters is one thing but to actually have the audacity to hype himself like this...I've bloody had it with men lying, lying, lying about everything damn thing all the damn time!

There's been so many times where I haven't listed x skill or told people IRL about certain experiences because I think I didn't study it enough or because it happened years ago. I've had it with trying to shrink myself to make people comfortable. I'm too old, too grown, too smart and talented to fit spaces that can't hold me.

If this lying scrote has the audacity to fake a whole language and culture with one class he took, I'm now giving you free permission to call yourself the CEO/Queen/Boss of whatever you want because you've worked there for more than a day πŸ˜‚

Same goes for guys that are SoFtwAre eNgiNeeRs (he just installs the WiFi cables) or doctors (he's pre-med) or real estate developer (he's just house sitting, honey). You'll meet this type of scrote everywhere - the one that takes credit for your group project in class, the one that passes your idea off as his to the boss, the one that will say women are only good for making sandwiches when he was single-handedly raised by his mother.

Vet, vet, vet, ladies. Your future self will never regret asking and hearing the uncomfortable truth rather than swallowing a lie and living in doubt and regret forever. Peace ✌️
