Sugar babies are so glamorized and being told “it’s not only sex, it’s only company or the girlfriend experience”. I’m not going to lie, it sounds super enticing. Who wouldn’t want free money? I’ve seen no official confirmation of this, but after years of observing i am 100% convinced that Seeking Arrangement is running a (probably quite expensive) sponsored media campaign with many “mainstream” publications to post glowing, positive reviews of their site with fake testimonials. It‘s always some far fetched tale where some struggling college student signs onto the site and meets a multimillionaire that immediately whisks her out of poverty and buys her a bunch of shiny things just because she’s pretty.

Anyone paying attention knows that this can’t be possibly true, but this same lie, repeated over and over again, becomes very compelling to naive, desperate young women. Meanwhile, sex traffickers are having the easiest time ever. They don’t have to find victims, the victims come to them.

Onlyfans works similarly, but with more celebrity endorsements.

I can't read the article for some reason but... yeah. Buzzfeed ran an article a while ago about sb's talking about their experiences, and all of them were 100% positive and glowing. I was highly suspicious. When 0 of the testimonials said, "Yeah, I regretted doing this"? Hmmm....
