I requested a whole day off of work to spend the day with a fuck boy for his birthday. For weeks, he had "hinted" at us becoming a couple soon. By the time his birthday came around he had already ghosted. I was an hourly paid employee with no benefits so that was full day of pay lost. Ladies, never lose money over a fuck boy.

I'll tuck my head in shame and finish a story I started a couple days ago.

My town literally burned to the ground while the dude I was seeing was out of town.

I called his family to make sure that they were ok. Then I called him crying and left a voicemail telling him my neighborhood was on fire and I was terrified.

He completely ignored it, then gaslighted me.

The next time I heard from him was nearly a month later at 10pm asking me to come to his house. He'd been home for 2 weeks already.

I SLEPT WITH HIM 3 MORE TIMES AFTER THIS.

BECAUSE.

HE SAID HE FORGOT AND WAS SORRY.

I'll never be that person again.

I told my shitty drug addicted user of a boyfriend that if he went to rehab I would wait for him and we could date again when he got clean. He was sure he could kick it on his own so I had to draw a hard limit there (I’m a fucking mother for Christ sakes!!)

thank god he couldnt even do the bare minimum bc once I cut him off I came out of the haze and realized what a total loser he was.

He was good looking, great in bed, we shared a rare hobby and he was better than me at that hobby, which is rare. I should have used him for sex/hobby fun and kept him at arms length forever BUT he treated me so well (cooked me amazing meals, breakfast in bed, bought thoughtful and extravagant gifts, trips etc) we shared a circle of friends related to said hobby and he already knew and got along with my kid so when he begged to be my boyfriend it seemed like a match despite his general inconsistency, crazy debt (totally not his fault! Lol) and many other red flags.

What a waste of time.

Years ago...I spent literal months crying over a guy I went on four dates with who then ghosted me. During this time, I humiliated myself by sending him a long, angry text about his ghosting. He replied and apologized. And I almost sent him another text asking for a do-over. Ugh.

I could go on and on about the more recent stuff but I don't want to think about it right now, haha.

I would drive 3 hours every Friday after work to my last BFs place just so he could still easily make to to church on Sunday. Then I'd leave at 5:30 am to make it to work on time on Monday.

This was in Texas in the summer and I had no AC in my car. It would be traffic most of the way there, then I'd stop at a gas station before I got to his place to dry shampoo my hair, redo my entire face of makeup, baby wipe and lotion my body, just to hop on the shower shortly after I arrived.

What the fuck.

Clown me, please sis. I was traumatized and in a shitty place and told myself constantly that he was just having a hard time in life too. It was constant lies and breadcrumbing, conflicting statements, slut shaming me when I would go out on dinner dates with other guys. He said he loved me, he said he wanted a relationship with me, fucked me and then literally changed his mind the next day because he wanted freedom. Took me on one dinner date. This shit went on for all of 2019. When I texted one night to see if he wanted to come to my house for dinner that I was preparing (for him 🤦‍♀️), he said no because he was moving in a few days. My heart was broken from a guy who couldn’t care less about me. He was a self proclaimed player but too “clinically depressed to chase women”. And ladies, I was there and all understanding and such a 🤡 He’s overweight, aging fast, manipulative, and I think an alcoholic. He texted me after he moved. I said I missed him and he said he was on Tinder at the moment looking for his “local piece”. Even sent a screenshot of a woman he was about to chase. Then proceeded to tell me he loved me and cared for me “deeply”. Tried to get me to meet him in Vegas a week later and I actually considered it.

Thanks for listening! I can’t believe how pickmeisha I was. And the couple of relationships before this guy were just as sad. I’m successful in my career, I’m attractive and I have HV women friends and hobbies. I’m trying to piece myself back together now and reading this sub everyday. I’m so glad I found it and you badass ladies from someone bashing it in another sub.
