I don’t use block enough. I listen to all the voices telling me it’s childish and that I should just have self-control and not reply or tell people what I think of them.

Wait until you guys discover the magic of a Google Voice number. Brand new fucking number on demand. You can block them on that, too, with the added bonus of being able to disable the Google Voice number at any moment and it will disappear. Then you simply unlink it from your real number and re-use your real number to get a brand spanking new Google voice number to use all over again. It allows you to give out your number an infinite number of times and you can pull the plug and flush / start over within 5 minutes.

It works the way PayPal does. A fake number linked to your real number that then hides your real number the way PayPal hides your credit card info from anyone you do business with. It's like a condom for your phone. ^_^.

I have a friend who I once watched casually block someone because she didn’t like the way he said hi. Didn’t even respond, just a few taps and he was gone. I laughed so hard I almost cried. She also once had a friend give her the number to a nutritionist or something like that and couldn’t figure out why he couldn’t text her back until she realized she’d blocked his number at some point (which meant he’d said something off or sent a dick pic or something prior) 🤣

I couldn't agree more. Some people get sucked into so much online drama in general when all you need to do to free yourself from it is block. Shut that shit down. I live by the rule that being in my life is a privilege, not a right.

I used to feel guilty about blocking and would send polite explanations about why we are not compatible even after they’ve disrespected me. Not any more!

Sometimes when I feel like I’m doing something too “mean” I think about the things I’ll regret when I’m lying on my deathbed, realize that cutting contact with smelly limp losers isn’t one of them, and smash the block button.
