100%. OLD was a terrible experience for me for all the reasons you described. Not only will I never do that again but Reddit is the only social media I am on. No Facebook, no Instagram. It’s fantastic. I’m so much better able to live in the moment and do what makes me happy without thinking about how it looks to others or what cute thing I should say about it or what other people say

I LOVE living an absolutely private life. People have to Google me really fucking hard to find anything out about me. There arent a bunch of photos of me online. Nobody knows what I’m doing except my ACTUAL FRIENDS

That was my experience too, I'm so sorry. It's so horribly dehumanizing and destroys your faith in men. Supposedly there are decent ones out there, but they sure ain't online.

I so much know what you are talking about. I have been on Hinge for 6 months and I want to delete it but I reinstall it after a day or two.

I am so crushed by men from OLD. Even though i try to be super careful with who I date, go on few very nice dates, ask million questions, the guys seem so much into me and decent.

Only to sleep with them and then they ghost. Can't even respond to my " so I guess this is it" text.

So rude, I feel so used and like I don't matter at all.

Lol so I got a message from a troll on Reddit saying I had a bad dating experience because I am fat. It’s funny because I’m not. When I first started OLD I was actually underweight. I did gain some weight to be a normal weight healthy BMI and now am told I’m fat. I laugh because for so long I thought I was fat because I was a normal weight. If my weight is a way to get LVM to leave me alone, great!!!!!

Can definitely relate to the cycle of being on/off on OLD and the feelings that come with it. Realised it might not be for me either 🤷‍♀️So glad keeping off it worked out for you!
