Them cooking be like: buy expensive ingredients that they haven't checked for quality, making a dish that only caters to their tastes and no one else's, needs the kitchen to be quiet so he can 'focus', constantly asking women in his family where to find stuff/what to do, doesn't clean up after himself, gets butthurt when given constructive criticism, bums off the tedious parts of cooking like preparing stuff for bbqing on women because its 'boring'. Fellas read and improve.

This is why I’d almost rather date a noncooking man than a “home chef.” I’ve met so few men whose elaborate dishes didn’t create more work for me or some other woman.

I acted like this when I was 12, how could an actual adult think like this?? And even when I was little, I'd clean everything but the dishes (cause I'm a huge germaphobe and I cry if I touch a spoon that was in someone's mouth, I got gloves tho so I can do dishes now lol)

Lol, it’s me! I cook 3-4x a week for us and haven’t washed a single dish since I left my parents’ house when we left for college. My husband has some serious dishwasher stacking skillzzz.

Except, you know this dude only cooked the one, likely under-seasoned, apple pie cuz he was craving it and never cooks an actual meal otherwise but thinks he ought to get a pat on the back. 😒

In my house, the rule is I cook, you clean, and vice versa. I’m not bout to stand in a hot kitchen cooking for hours AND have to wash the dishes! And if that’s a problem, no home cooked meals for you. You can watch me eat 😂

This is my every holiday since moving out. I'm a chef, but my dad has to make a HUGE production on cooking the ham or the turkey.

Um? Who's doing the stuffing? The rolls? Green Bean Casserole? Nobody? No one? Here's the cheese and cracker tray with veggies, get out of the kitchen. (My sisters are busy with their kids rightfully so.)

My mom, does the dishes. I try to clean as I go but I got stuff in the oven, three pans on the stove, and prepping the last thing for the oven. *sigh*

I don’t like when men cook for me. They don’t do as good of a job as I can, make a big mess, ask for TONS of praise, and usually only make a dish, not a meal (Ex. Only pasta, or only meat, or forgot the protein)
