My daughter and I were hanging out last night. We were talking about her high school days. She said she had taken a theater class with an excellent teacher. However, one day when she was sitting in the back of the room as some of the students were acting out a scene, she saw her teacher and realized, "I'm going to hear about you in the papers 10 years from now." I asked what triggered the thought. She just said he always had female students around him and seemed to dote on them. We had always taught her to stay the hell away from teachers (male or female), so she heeded that wisely.

9 years later this teacher was turned in for grooming a girl who was grieving over a serious situation. He was cajoling her into having sex with him and she felt like she couldn't have his emotional support without doing it. She later told her boyfriend who went to the cops. The teacher now in prison, thank goodness. He had actually been accused of doing the same thing at a previous school, but was hired anyway by a male principal (Probably thought it was no big deal because he's keeping his rapey options open too). In any case, I hope the young woman is recovering well.

When thoughts like that come into your mind, they are there for a reason. We don't always think that people are pedophiles or otherwise shady people.
