Maybe it’s just me, but this sounds like a sugar situation. I’m like really confused at the dynamics of this. Where and how did you meet him? Is there an age difference between you and him? And you really don’t mind not being married to him as long as he buys you a condo?

I'm confused. You say he's not flashy, but he seems to have been primarily flashing his money around to impress you. That 1700 to him is peanuts. Don't be impressed by what rich men buy you or how they throw their money around. It means absolutely nothing.

I hate to say this, but he does sound a little creepy. He’s trying to do all the power moves. He hardly knows you and he basically bought you whatever you wanted. Even if he’s extremely generous, that level of generosity isn’t really appropriate for early days dating context. Or maybe I misread? How long have you known him.

How did you meet this man? Why are you flying out to him? There have been discussions on this sub about flying out - and the answer was to never fly out to meet a man you don’t know very well.
