My ex never road raged or honked the horn at anyone. He always drove safely and never aggressively. But he was still abusive and impatient and angry and irritated with me.

Wow! I wouldn't be getting in a car with him again. I did date one fella, he had a complex about being short and was very aggressive on the roads with his big 4x4. It scares me. If you look up Kenneth Noye he stabbed a driver to death due to his road rage. I don't want that happening to me or some idiot boyfriend who can't control his temper.

Yup, my narc dad will have his license taken away if he keeps running red lights.

He also reversed hastily and sped away as I told him I need to put my seatbelt on, so of course I got tumbled around in a crowded backseat, to prove to us how he’s a “great driver.”

Lmao, how do I drive?? I think I drive pretty good. I used to drive and always want to be in front. Took three fender benders to get me to see its not worth the rush. Mind u this is the span over 15 years. I'm 31. I also had maybe three speeding tickets. One very gnarly one, I was driving across states and it was dark and hardly anyone and I floored it... Yep right past a cop on accident. Soooo learned my lesson. To chill the fuck out. But yes with my family I am way more careful, by myself I just a bit more racer lol. So far I drive soooo much better. I wasn't bad before but driving fast wasn't allowed regardless.

One true tell to me. Is if a man is kind to strangers and his family, he will be kind to ya ass well. Or the quick and fast way to know is to argue. Start a fight. Do they turn on you or do they try to fix the situation, do they get nasty and mean and spite ya.

My man right now if we fight.. U can tell he maybe upset but he still loves me. This hit me like wow.. I never got into a fight where a man was still kind to me.. I was so used to fights becoming ugly and had my defense ready to go.. But didn't need them. Cause he was calm and actually didn't want to hurt me and I have made the mistake of making a jab out of frustration and he was hurt but he didn't take it as an opportunity to stab me back. Don't get me wrong he is very stern too lol. I appreciate him so much ❤️. But yes.

When shit hits the fan, it will tell u the truth. Will he work with you. Will he be determined to win the argument by any means, will he manipulate. Does someone have to lose and someone have to win.

Or will he listen and work with you, will the argument be productive and produce a solution to benefit BOTH parties. Will he respectful disagree and voice why with out putting you down, raising his voice or cursing. (Some ladies need to work on their Hugh value-Ness by maturing in the how to discuss disagreements properly department.)

Anyways driving is a good indicator, how they handle arguments is the most telling in my opinion, if the relationship will survive. " Everything is good when it's sunshine and roses but when the shit hits the fan, you will know where everyone stands", this my qoute by the way. 😉 Enjoy lol.

It's not a hard and fast rule I know but I have a story which was an exception to the rule. I had an ex who was actually a great guy in every aspect of his personality except when he drove. He would have major road rage and always scared the crap out of me driving. It was a white knuckle ride. We talked about it and agreed I would drive us everywhere. I was ok with that. But he just turned into a psycho behind the wheel lol.

My ex didnt get a car until the last year or so we dated (first red flag). He had horrible road rage (second red flag) and was completely obsessed with his car. He treated the car better than me (third red flag).

It was around Christmas and we were on our to a holiday themed outside drive thru light show. There is a section of this highway near my home that causes a lot of accidents and as we driving we are arguing about something. All the sudden someone in front of us spins out of control and we almost got hit full speed at 70 mph. I braced for impact I was 99% certain we were going to get hit. The car that spun out hit the wall and we swerved away (I guess because I closed my eyes and screamed for Jesus). We pulled over to the side and after I stopped screaming I had to go tell him to get out and check on the other person. It definitely changed the way I saw him after. I still have PTSD from that incident.
