The LGBT+ community experience some of the worst and most sustained hate crimes of any group. And whilst all will likely receive it, the data shows gay men receive an extremely high proportion of the total amount.

Is it time we looked seriously at how misandry intersects with homophobia, as well as other forms of hate related crime?

Thank you for the hard work you do. It helps to see it now and then, gives me some hope.

The levels of Woke anti-gay-male rhetoric has been rising for a whole now, too. Whether it be to deem us "not discriminated enough" to participate on LGBT+ student boards, enforcerers of Toxic Masculinity for being attracted to masculine men, sexist for not wanting to shave sex with women, transphobic for not wanting to have sex with a trans person or being concerned that gay kids are being mis-labled as trans and in need of social or hormone transition therapies...I even heard the "gays carry AIDs" rhetoric being used by a Feminist on a misandric rant.

This isn't actually about being gay, imho. It's all about being a man. This is a bigotry that's socially acceptable. I hope none of these people have children, for the kids sake.

I've not felt this concerned for my safety BECAUSE I'm gay for a few years, didn't expect feeling safe to be short lived because the Left had gone full circle.

Although not proactively enforced, male homosexual acts continue to be illegal in Singapore, which inherited much of its legislations from the UK. All aspects of female homosexual acts were legalised back in 2007.

Personal anecdote:

A sociology studying, performatively socially conscious person in my circle of contacts (a straight woman) was excited to join in an upcoming Pride parade because there would be no "cismen" there and how that's so freeing.

I about flipped a shit because the idea that gay men aren't real men is about as homophobic as it gets.

It's honestly heartbreaking to see that gay men are still being treated like that. And niw they ar even being pushed out of the LGBT community by quite a few groups there too. Or at least those group are trying it, and that's fucking terrible. I just hope it'll get better at some point.

Either way, as a trans woman you guys have my full support too.

I think one of the worst problems for gay guys right now is the transmovement, not only usurping nearly all of the political momentum and strength of the lgbt-movement for their own aims, but actively working toward maintaining gender norms as it validates their identity. One current example:

I tell this and with more substantiation to all the bisexuals who pretend they're the most oppressed lgbt label because 'nobody validates my attraction to both' rather than actually feeling oppression for it.

but nah, bisexuals are mad oppressed. Especially those in heteronormative relationships /s
