Naturally, I explained the difference between Earnings and Wages, gave an easy to follow example and I got told I'm "twisting words and logic".

Because, apparently, saying that one working 41 hours being paid 10$/h makes more money than someone else working 40 hours being paid 10$/h is twisting logic now.

So I decided to link the Government of Canada's findings on hours worked between genders - it's a baffling 6 hours difference... for men. On average.

Meaning, women would work 32 hours and men, 38 hours.

Of course, that's also "twisting logic" - because of course it is. It cannot, possibly, be the explanation between the earnings gap.

Sorry, had to rant. This is just downright dumb. It also indicates how innate bias can severely affect someone's willingness to accept evidence that contradicts their preconceived notion of the world.

That same person, hilariously enough, was sporting an #JohnnyDeppWon on their bio. Meaning they were capable of accepting evidence in one case but adamant on refusing evidence on another.

Pathetic, really.
