Fiscally conservative, Socially Liberal here. I think alot of the men here were screwed by a woman in some way, and can kind of rightfully blame society, and this modern landscape of values on women's behavior today. Alot of us were probably raised to believe that women are of nurture, kindness, and the staple to hold together a home. Now that those values aren't relevant anymore in reality, it has opened the doors for rampant betrayal, deceit, and manipulation from them.

Liberal or leftist? Don't conflate the terms. I am a libertarian, which is classical liberalism, not the communism of the current left.

The democratic party is not the party of liberalism, they just co-opted that word. They are the party which 23% for ending slavery (13th amendment) versus 100% Republican. 0% democrats voted for making freed slaves citizens (14th amendment) versus 96-100% Republicans. Democrats are the party of the KKK. I have pictures of Joe Biden with grand wizards. Democrats are the party of Jim Crow. Don't they teach post civil war history in schools anymore? Carpetbaggers? Lynchers?

Only the left promotes censorship of free speech ("hate speech" IS PROTECTED BY THE CONSTITUTION). Only the left promotes removing your second amendment rights (SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED). Look how well that worked for China, they took all the guns and then slaughtered 45 million (rock-bottom estimate) unarmed citizens. Look at what is happening right now in Hong Kong. Look what happened with the Nazis (national socialists) who also took the guns and performed genocide. Look what happened in Russia when they confiscated all the guns and then performed genocide.

Do I even need to bring up Killery? Seth Rich? The Clinton Foundation? Do you know about NXIVM? Little St. James? Why there are so many missing children in Hatai and the Clintons were the first on the scene?

I'm not saying all Republicans are good, many are Republican In Name Only. The uniparty is real.

What I am saying is that the Democrats are NOT liberal, and are NOT progressive, at least not by the original definitions, only by their perverted definitions. Wake up, people, and study history. Think for yourselves, vote for whomever you decide your morals and ideals are aligned.

I’m a “liberal”, which means in current politics I’m to the right of Atilla the Hun.

“Liberal” doesn’t even mean what it meant in the 90s. Today’s left wing fascists are “progressives”.

I’m an evil liberal because I believe in stupid ideas like all citizens should have civil rights, and I like effective regulation of companies that have any ability to destroy people’s lives, like safe food and drugs, clean water, and not dumping toxic sewage in our waterways.

So I don’t get into the “women shouldn’t vote” nonsense extremely stupid people promote here sometimes. Citizens should have rights, even people in politically opposed to.

I’m a conservationist. The environmental movement is just full communism now, but I believe in not destroying the environment for no reason. Making Exxon an extra $billion is not a good reason. So I’m for “conserving” the environment for future generations, not so Miami can have some new overpriced condos that won’t sell.

So that kind of evil liberal. Everyone does their own thing, I don’t give a shit about you being gay, a woman, tranny, whatever. Not my problem.

So as I said, clearly fully alt-right.

I'm not sure. I haven't noticed a decided right or left leaning in this sub. I'm very liberal and very MGTOW but that's the beauty of it to me...MGTOW appeals to all of us.

I'm mostly Liberal but in Australia, the Liberal Party is the right and Labor/Greens are the left. Although I do agree with things like social security and free medical care, after all, Australians pay high taxes to have these safety nets. I just used my free medical care to get my gallbladder removed.

Almost all the subs i frequent like this one, trp, meme subs, etc.. is vastly conservative.

TRP, MGTOW and subs of this kind are very hard to pin down in terms of political preference. It's easy to dismiss them as conservative because of their hard-applied objectivism in terms of moral beliefs and darwinist metaethics. However, they are very much for the personal freedom and very pronunciated in the topic of free will, which they support. So i would say that MGTOW and RP, beyond their hard nature in their philosophy, are totally left-leaning philosophies. I would not classify it as liberal though, because this doesn't apply with the hard leaning darwinist view of some truths that the RP/MGTOW communities applies, and we all now that liberals and darwinism DO NOT go well together.

Im wondering if there are any other liberals on here, and what are your thoughts on MGTOW? Do you follow it exactly? How liberal are you?

I do not consider myself a liberal. I am a left-centrist, with a dispostion leaning on a kantian method of applied politics, which is very supported on objectivism. There are some fallacies that the MGTOW view has some obvious ways of showing it, and not correcting via ad hoc is going to be very difficult. Some of them are the strict NAWALT view, the "Law of the third excluded" is super applied in this philosophy (There are only people that have been hurt, and came to know MGTOW, and there are people that do not know MGTOW, or, at least, don't support it, because they have not been psychologically afflicted. This makes it difficult to argue with MGTOW philosophy not being created only by those afflicted. Then again, maybe we were living in Plato's Allegory, after all) and the obviously stolen stoic principles that MGTOW has.

HOWEVER. Even with it's flaws, i believe MGTOW is the necessary slap in the face that we all need to wake up. There are objective ways to act, and there are a priori truths that we need to accept. Some of them being that:

1 - Everything perishes. Accept this or suffer through your entire life;

2 - You are in control of yourself. Don't blame this on other people. Accept this;

3 - There is no emotional suffering. If you are suffering, that is your choice. Stop reacting to the emotions, dissect them, and you will see that it is foolish for such thoughts to dismay you;

4 - Don't rely on externals. They maybe beneficial on the short term, but only peace of mind will make you achieve tranquillity;

5 - Accept reality empirically. This is your life. Do not make a false view of it, do not understate it, do not overstate it. Impressions and make-belief are the drug of mankind.

MGTOW is, basically, Stoicism with a Modern Edge, leaning into Darwinism about Women, one of the causes of suffering and preventing peace of mind in the modern age. Man has seen that, when a woman shows her true face (divorce, breakup, rejection) that something was wrong. It, then, went into investigation, and now MGTOW has some very strong arguments about the female nature, with statistics and empirical science to prove it. There are double-standards; Men are the weaker sex, not the strongest one; Women are not the nurturing gender; Women do not love, only Men do; Women have all the choice in the world; The Wall is proven to exist; Briffault's Law came to light; These are some of them.

In the age of 3rd wave feminism, Elitism, Pseudo-Eclecticism, Political Correctness, ratings of Depression, Anxiety, Suicide never being so high before in history, Double Standards, this all shows that something, along recent history, has gone wrong. I do not consider myself as a MGTOW, however, i do agree with some of the premisses that cultural and objectivist MGTOW's have on the view of reality.

I've given up my political orientation. But I have a clear idea of what the political stance has been and what has been good and what has not.

Successful politics must tackle the problems at their roots and not end of pipe. This can be done in a conservative or leftist way, both can be successful, but as far as long-term sustainability is concerned, swinging between these poles is the most successful (for the majority of people).

This can be different (conservative or left) for different currents in society, for different classes of problems. All at the same time.

Unfortunately, the world, the society based on it, is not so simple that one could keep it on the good side with a purely conservative or left attitude.

I don't think it's a good concept to join an ideological current. Go your own way!

It's part of the same thing, seeing through the bullshit and using logic and clear thinking. You simply cannot do that and remain a 'liberal' (itself a misuse of the word, as is common in the destruction of language, see Orwell et al).

Liberal here. I don't see why most red pilled men on here or on youtube tend to lean conservative. Usually I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I don't like it when they try to make it look like their bullshit political opinions are linked to mgtow somehow. Being Mgtow and a liberal is not a mutually exclusive concept. Mgtow has nothing to do with politics, it's all about raising awareness of how modern relationships with women are and how to be careful. It's annoying how some conservatives want to manipulate it into grouping their ideologies with mgtow and liberal ideologies with feminism.

I'm a classical liberal and an atheist who respects science above religion and believes in equality of opportunity where it makes fair and logical sense to implement measures to encourage it. I also believe in the benefit of having universal healthcare, social safety nets and free education for those who demonstrate a sincere willingness to learn.

Why am I going my own way? Well let me break it down:

Marriage - 'Holy Matrimony' is meaningless to me. It's also a terrible legal contract.

Children - Happier to be child free and I can't see that changing until the world changes

Cohabitation - Bill, after bill, after bill - government wants 'forced marriage' and I don't want that
