What's the problem? According to this in all the other countries men still hold the top drinker position. This just means that things are starting to balance each other out. More women in college, more women in bars. If you open the gate all kinds of people are gonna come in.

If you become an alcoholic it's a problem if you are either female or male, but I'm guessing the total number of people stay relatively constant, so I don't see how this is bad. It's not good either.
