Problem with engineers is they view the world and humans as a logic problem. Apply these inputs get this result.

Unfortunately the world and humans do not work that way. The world is random and humans are nasty creatures ruled by emotion, instinct and biochemistry. At best humans decide emotionally and justify with logic if they bother at all.
