I think women think like this because they never have to develop logic or stoicism because there's no pressures to do so like with a man. An emotional man who isn't gay, let alone an overly emotional one, is ostracized and bullied whereas white knights, family, and friends will continually listen to a women's complaining as if it has real value and then proceed to try and comfort them. This fuels them to continue to become more and more emotional, particularly as life gets harder once you become an adult. Some chads can tell them to shut the fuck up and get them wet, but, anyone else, is just yelled at or even bullied and ostracised for doing so. As a consequence, men just learn to ignore it and simps continue to simping.

The reason why women do this is because their lifes are mostly a cake walk.

There aren’t thousands of expectations, people dont depend on them and they mostly walk around chilling.

They don’t have other guys constantly trying to take stabs at them, there is very rarely a violent threat in their lifes and the worst they need to worry about it someone saying something bad about them on facebook

There is no need for them to keep stuff organized or be down to earth.

Women are born a success and can then become a failure if they fuck up.

Men are born a failure and have to work their ass off to become a success.

I was raised by women... I thought I had no nothing box because silence never occurred, wasn’t allowed. Then I realized that I had learned to participate in the conversation-going-to-nowhere with my mind mostly switched off... that is my nothing box.

But I think the OP is mistaken. Women do have a nothing box- you’ll find it within 30 seconds of a discussion on philosophy (that you initiated). They are literally gone in 60 seconds... so if you want quiet on that next road trip just start in on your thoughts on the Meditations, Republic, Word and Object, Hans Hope or John Locke... crickets baby ... every time!

The nothing box is probably more of a space for mind wandering or creativity. I'm not sure how often other people experience a flow state when the mind actually only focuses on one thing and blocks everything else out, but I do know that not even meditation stops the process of thought. Only advanced meditators with long daily practices can effectively stop thinking, and even then they sometimes have a bad day where they can't. In any case, I do find mind wandering pleasant when I don't have heavy things on my mind.

Also, when you’re fishing, you’re not thinking about nothing, at least you shouldn’t be. You should be absorbed in the moment even if you’re just watching a line dip in the water, which is not at all like being a mindless empty box.

I'm a guy with ADHD, and sadly I don't have that "nothing box." Yes, I can sit and stare off into space for long periods of time, but I've never been able to think about absolutely nothing. I always have something to think about, be it daydreaming or any subjects that seem to pop into my head. It's a little frustrating since I've asked a few friends what it's like thinking about nothing, and what it sounds like to me is all the benefits of staring off into space without the drawbacks of daydreaming.
