I had a relationshit where she cheated when we started - monkey branching back to her ex, and lot's of orbiters with 2am calls and text.. I forgave, gave her one chance to show/prove, she smartened up and got rid of them all fast. Took her a year to gain my trust, and we moved in together...

4 years later, we took a break too, for a few weeks. We got back together "did you sleep with anyone?" - "No, you?" - "No". Cool, another year and a half go by, I end up moving out because future red flags. But we stay together just not co-habitating as it was killing us.

We're arguing about something unrelated and she brings up our break and how we promised we didn't sleep with anyone.

"WELL I DID SLEEP WITH SOMEONE! REEEEEE"..

Took me by storm, got mad for 3 minutes, smirked and said..

"I can't believe for a year and a half you lived with that guilt, slept beside me, looked into my eyes and I believed you because you were guilt ridden the first time you did it, for years.. did you at least wear a condom?"

- just to spite me she blurts out "NOOO - REEEEEE".

"So why the f* are you telling me now, this kills any chance of anything ever again".

She replies "I just want to start fresh".

It was a hard day, but I was already half way out the relationshit. I was her Chad, have all the 6+'s, and every few years she still tries to reach out and try to get together - she was a great fukn woman and did help me thrive, fed me, fukt me, was my friend, but the hypergamy just over-rode everything and she admitted this is in her nature/patterns, she's cheated on everyone from her past, even her x-husband, the guy after, the guy before me...

It might hurt OP that she went up the scale, it sucks just as much if not more when you find out the guy she cheated on you with was some fat lowlife, I'd rather she cheated up not down as fucked up as that sounds.

No kids, no crazy insane 'trying to ruin me', and somewhat ammicable ending where we're civil - but that was my last long-term attempt and biggest lesson. No matter who you are in life her instincts will always instinct.
