McConnell is going to cram a new justice down the dems throat if he had to do it singlehandedly.
Trump will appoint another women. Doesnt look like any of the short list are minorities but it'll be a woman. They'll get seated. Dems will push to win the senate but the math doesnt look good for them. If they win they'll propose upping the number of justices to 11 or 13 if Biden wins. If they win the senate and trump wins theyll try impeaching Kav. Though they wont have enough seats to convict.
Schumer is not the strategist McConnell is or he would not have handpicked a candidate destined to lose by a very wide margin to McConnell. McConnell isnt all that popular in KY but he's going to smoke his opponent due in large part to Schumer.

Totally going to be a woman. Dems are going to try every trick in the book. McConnell is going to tell Grasserly to run her through the committee without any delays.
Woman will give R's something to campaign on and use to get out the vote for in trouble senators. May also help boost Trump against Biden.
McConnell will give AK Senator something in exchange for a yes vote. She's not up for re election, so he'll horse trade her something for her vote.
Collins will be a no vote - she's in a tight battle.
Romney is a wild card, no idea what he'll do.
McConnell is a snake but he'll get this done - the courts have been his primary concern since trump was elected.

She was an activist liberal judge who made up the constitution to suit her political opinions. If Trump appoints an originalist, conservative judge it will rebalnce the Supreme Court from 5-4 liberal to 5-4 originalist. This is particularly important now because if Trump wins the election the Dems have already said they will not concede defeat. If a replacement is not made the Supreme Court will have 8 members and there could be a 4-4 deadlock when it comes to election challenges. That would be a disaster for the country.
