Womens generated 131 million.

According to my math the women make 32 times more than men already.

I never root for the US in soccer events, even the men's team. When European teams win or even just place in the tournament, the capital city and all throughout the country is just one massive party and usually a few people die from alcohol poisoning or just doing stupid things in pure joy and celebration.

If the american men won the world cup no one would give a fuck, and I don't root for them because I think they deserve a real celebration

not just her, but i'm baffled at how you can take the support of a country, take the money, win in their name, utilize their assets and then turn around and spit on it make a statement. I understand using your platform for your cause and it could've been stated better but how do you straight up disrespect the country you represent to the nation.. I would think they should just go "oh, ok, you don't play for us anymore since you are an embarrassment on the world stage. (and this is regardless man, women, lightpole, mailbox, whatever)

....Plus I only watched a couple of games in the whole cup, I saw 6 or 7 floppers in 30 minutes of one of the men’s games, and none in the women’s, I think when it comes to professional soccer Women trump men. I am not American and I think it's weird that their women team is the best soccer team in the world. Sure, there were a few aging stars coming there from europe like Beckham and Henry but still their men team is still a joke compared to the traditionally good teams of Europe and south America

Still, they became best in the WORLD in their division of soccer. It's quite a biggy! I am still a men's soccer fan, as it's the solidified "genre" of soccer, but the woman's world cup was still enjoyable to watch! We dutch long for some "orange-fever" and since our men's team has been performing poorly the last couple of years we got to enjoy a great performance by our women. Don't just disregard their performance because you don't care about soccer or that this is not the best performing "genre".
