Sure, when you’re on your own. Not when you’re in a relationship lol. Those are all tickets for breakup/cheating/divorce

[–]stymy 48 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’d like to say you’re wrong, but my relationship with my ex did start to break down after my father & grandfather died and I got too emotional and “clingy”, so, you may be right.

[–]quarterlifecrisis_94 34 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I know I’m right.

[–]stymy 20 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Speaking from experience, sounds like

[–]quarterlifecrisis_94 29 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That’s how I ended up in this space

[–]noyesnoyesyesnoyes-25 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You're only right in these 2 anecdotes. Sometimes showing some vulnerability is what saves relationships

[–]Proof-System5 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So men must lead fearlessly and not show vulnerability when they shouldn't, but show vulnerability on those times when it's necessary, otherwise she might leave you. Sounds complicated, and non-reciprocal. She gets to judge whether the amount of emotional you're showing is appropriate, and if you're out of line hoo boy I guess you deserved to be be left.

[–]pat-eymsham3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This is the correct answer to the yes you should/no you should not argument.

Its like for example driving a car. Most other drivers are not idiots, but a few are, so the best strategy is to assume all drivers are idiots ("defensive driving")

So there can be an upside to those things, and there can be a downside to those things. The downside is massively greater than the upside. Don't do it.

[–]noyesnoyesyesnoyes-1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

If you want to say you're protecting yourself by not being out there that's fine and reasonable. But to say every single woman out there is toxic is one of the dumbest things I've heard.

[–]pat-eymsham1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I did not say "every single woman out there is toxic" just as I did not say that "every single driver out there is an idiot". The problem is that in the current environment, one "toxic" woman (not the word I'd choose personally) can ruin a mans life, in the same way that one idiot driver can. So I stand by my claim, the safest strategy is to assume any given woman might be "toxic", even though I know that the majority are not.

[–]noyesnoyesyesnoyes1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I said non of this, you just made it all up. How about you do and show whatever you want? ANY healthy relationship requires vulnerability from both you and her. If one party doesn't allow it then you're in a shit relationship.

Except the "saying no to sex" thingy. That is one sure way to make her very curious and will get her trying to have you have sex with her.

[–]Most-Laugh703 0 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

idk what type of people you dated. i can’t think of any scenario where that occurs

[–]quarterlifecrisis_94 3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It occurred in 3/3 for me. Those seem like pretty high odds… why did I fall for it three times? I’m not sure, but I’m glad I’m here to see through it all

[–]Most-Laugh703 2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

well, i am sorry that you were dealt such a bad hand. that must be traumatic on some level. teaches you to never trust a woman.

i think in all my relationships, all the above are encouraged or accepted. i do understand that others may not be as lucky. there are shitty people out there.

[–]qemist -1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

In an established relationship a man can do those things, ok, maybe not wear what you like. You'll more likely lose if you do these things in public.

EDIT By established I mean with children. Until then your relationship is just vapor and yes, she can just bail without consequences. So don't show weakness.

[–]quarterlifecrisis_94 1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah but that’d likely lead to less sex/dead bedroom so definitely not advised.

[–]rishajd81 64 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

These people say we are 'allowed' to but when we actually do they freak out.

[–]little_jimmy_jackson 3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

true, but then you know who they really are and you can disengage from them. There are indeed plenty of people who support men being healthy and doing these things. (most all of them will be other guys though)

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

true, but then you know who they really are and you can disengage from them.

What's the point? If you are married to them, you still have to give them 50% of your assets and alimony and CS...

That is why we recommend no marriage no cohabitation.. Coz the govt will not allow you to disengage without paying millions...

[–]little_jimmy_jackson 2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Of course don't get married or move in. I never said that, I was talking about friends and associates.

We should be completely beyond marriage being an option in this forum.

Right? Earlier this year I spent an entire month having an emotional breakdown( and then a month after having seizures, but that's a different can of worms) and stupidly told a girl that had a crush on me about it. She all but jumped out of the car to get away from me. As if my emotions were a definite deal breaker.

[–]rishajd81 2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Indeed brother. As a guy with BPD, mentioning my mental illness has always been the thing to put it off. With the same internet wokies who preach about mental health, of course

[–]Alarming_Ad8005 2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Good to know it's not just me. She literally posted pics of her and her friends at a mental illness charity thing. The only reason they care is because it makes them look good

To this day the hottest chick i ever got with was an FWB in high school that had a boyfriend. I'll never forget the time i cried in front of her telling her i loved her when she alluded to us "breaking up" (the whole time she said she would leave me for her bf, i caught feelings) and how that immediately changed our hardcore romance into something completely twisted. Overnight all of a sudden i was the 'beta' and she married the dude she cheated on.

I guess that's all to say, if you have any desire for her to not drop you like a sack of potatoes, yeah, don't cry in front of your spouse, don't "tell her all your feelings."

Pic related is a load of BS and will certainly open the discussion to breaking up or worse.

[–]LongTimeOn 30 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is why male only spaces are really important and we need to get them back. The only people who you should really open up to are your bro's because they can understand what you are going through without judgement. Women may say that they want their men to be emotionally available and show their feelings, but their actions show otherwise. There are countless examples of men opening up in a time of crisis only for the woman to lose attraction to him and dump or cheat on him. Men, confide in male friends, not women.

[–]plamplamthrow0322 16 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, as much as i want to believe women are capable of not leaving you my experience tells me otherwise and i always have to hold my toungue when guys echo this feminist bs about "opening up." I've never seen a real life example either among myself or friends where a guy being emotional and open around a woman was a "good thing." It almost always just was an opening for abandonment. In my case i lost someone i really did enjoy being around, no matter how toxic of a situation it was i do miss it still sometimes and i might be banging that chick today even had i not followed my stupid bluepill instincts at the time. Oh well, live and learn. It just sucks learning shit the hard way sometimes but there's plenty more fish in the sea. That's probably one of the biggest RP moments of my life, at least and I'll never forget it.

[–]LongTimeOn 16 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Happened to me when I lost my father back when I was 22. Opened up and leaned on a chick I was dating for support, got cheated on within a week. The snake even had the gall to say it was my fault she cheated as I wasn't giving her enough attention.

Bitch...my father just died, of course I'm not going to be jumping to every little request you demand. That redpilled my quite a lot, unfortunately not enough not to get married 6 yrs later....HUGE mistake.

[–]little_jimmy_jackson 1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes! go to your Uncle or Dad, male friends, or Brother.

[–]he_retic 19 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Tbh pictures like these are a manipulation attempts from women used as a bait. Once we actually start doing any of these things we are instantly seen as friends or someone they can use as a shoulder to cry on.

[–][deleted] 1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Ceruleanknight1 14 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you ever only cry and show emotion you become repulsive to their eyes.

[–]Erwinblackthorn 13 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We need to start calling this beta bait. Every time someone says some rendition of this, what do women do? Avoid the male who does it and goes for the Chad who doesn't.

[–]theaceupmysleeve 9 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why do you care about what women perceive you as though

[–]comptejete 8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Some men value social approval, which is a fair thing to desire. If that's your goal, being the sort of man that most women would define as masculine is a good way of achieving it.

[–]Erwinblackthorn 1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nobody should, which is why nobody should listen to the beta bait.

I want to be a man. A man doesn't listen to beta bait. Therefore a man shouldn't follow anything on the list. There's no reason to feel insecure or cry and show emotions or talk about mental health in the way the list is trying to get men to. This is because it's trying to make men act like women.

Here's the trick: separately, these actions are harmless and make sense, for the most part. But the list together is a particular direction. It's kind of like if I said "a citizen is allowed to protect their land, have sex, have followers, make music, believe in Helter Skelter, and carve a swastika in their head."

As you can see, some of them sound reasonable and then together it starts to sound like they are telling us to be like Charles Manson.

I don't care if women see me as anything. But, I do care about my actions, for myself, and I don't want to be like Charles Manson.

[–]TheApricotCavalier 0 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This what written by a woman

[–]FreeSelf-sufficient 6 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Your also Allowed to do all sorts of things that are legal but in a relationship they have consequences like doing something illegal.

[–]Dirty_Purity 4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It is not completely wrong in fact:

  • Cry and and show emotions? Sure but only when no one see them.
  • Seek help? Well, friends usually could help if a man have them.
  • Feel insecure? Men can feel everything. Not every feeling they allowed to show though.
  • Wear whatever they want? I do that. It ruins my attraction (if I have any) because my clothes are comfortable and durable and I don't care about fashion at all. But I stopped caring about that a long time ago.
  • Talk about their mental health? Of course. With professional who respects your privacy.
  • Say no to sex? I never was in situation when I had to do it but I don't even understand who can prohibit it.

[–]ok_bluejeans 4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Of course we can and we should.

But not in a relationship or FWB or whatever you call it.

The only woman you can cry in front of or be honest with your feelings is your mother. The reason to that is one - they love us unconditionally, no matter what we do or feel they will always be there for us. Of course, I'm talking here about normal, healthy family.

[–]MajIssuesCaptObvious 2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ha! Not my mom! She shamed me for crying, especially as I got a little older, like 10.

I think it's extremely "manly" to do these things because you face so much hell for doing so: bullying, being outcast, losing friends, getting dumped. It's courageous. Hardly cowardly at all given the circumstances.

"SIMPS are allowed to" would be a much more accurate statement. What man needs permission? From whom? If you have bollocks ignore this statement unless your bollocks are in her handbag. Word!

[–]Phantom_Spark 2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Really? Men can say no to sex? And then articles are written in mainstream media coaching women on how to coerce men into saying yes.

Wear whatever you want? Trump era proved that wrong. Wear something with his name on it is a perfect example that you can’t.

Seek help? Lol. You’re better off being a woman if you seek help. Otherwise, seek help from those in your circle who have made it clear they are there to support you. Nothing is guaranteed but people are less inclined to help a man. Otherwise make homelessness wouldn’t be ignored.

Men’s mental health? That’s just labeled as toxic masculinity now, isn’t it? Over generalization sure. But look at the ads and how things are discussed. People actually believe the foolishness.

I also saw this in my Instagram,it was posted by your typical far-left chick. This makes me feel that they want us to act like that in order to be able to manipulate us. I don't totally disagree with this after all one of the many reasons males commit more suicides that girls is because of the emotional build-up. Express yourself but with causion. Toxic people are going to use this against you and trust me i know how this goes

[–]Lalgoli 1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Of course men are allowed to nobody is stopping, but their sexual market value decreases if they do so. I am not saying you must try to maximize your smv ( as we mgtow don't give a fuck) but if you wanna keep that up, you have to avoid these.

[–]MajIssuesCaptObvious 1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I've experienced that this doesn't work if you're trying to get in or maintain a relationship.

They call it toxic masculinity but when it's women who aren't attracted to the things on this list, is it really toxic "masculinity"?

[–]kakramer1211 1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
