Might be the wrong sub for this, I live in NYC and make $1,670 biweekly, child support was determined to be $451 today by a judge, but won’t be finalized until April. I thought it was 17% of my paycheck but this is 27%, apparently it’s 17% of gross income. (which doesn’t make sense since NY takes half of my income through taxes). I just want to make sure this number is accurate. During the document reviews she submitted a financial affidavit that had the rent box empty (she doesn’t pay rent) so she said $500… she lives in affordable housing with her family and doesn’t pay for rent.
