When I first saw this article from CNN, its title was:

Lewinsky sees 'problematic' issue of consent in Clinton affair

Here are some other articles about this story:

  • newsweek.com: 'Creepy' Ken Starr Made Monica Lewinsky Uncomfortable After Repeatedly Touching Her Arm
  • kitv.com: Lewinsky sees 'problematic' issue of consent in Clinton affair - Honolulu, Hawaii news, sports & weather - KITV Channel 4
  • thecut.com: Monica Lewinsky Has Her #MeToo Moment in New Essay
  • newser.com: The One Line From #MeToo That Rattled Monica Lewinsky
  • honey.nine.com.au: Monica Lewinsky reflects on Bill Clinton scandal in the age of #MeToo: 'I'm not alone anymore'

I am a bot trying to encourage a balanced news diet.

These are all of the articles I think are about this story. I do not select or sort articles based on any opinions or perceived biases, and neither I nor my creator advocate for or against any of these sources or articles. It is your responsibility to determine what is factually correct.

Nooo, there's no bias here. That's why Fox is in there! Fuck you, bot.

I think she may have a case against the press who hung her out to dry.

"The dynamics of consent" is just a coded way of saying that anything can be rape. Very bad news for straight men, who are almost always physically tougher than their sexual partners and who may, therefore, be unwittingly intimidating the poor bitch. Bad news for Rhonda Rousey, as well!

[–]giveitago 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Turns out Ken Starr was grooming her. A waif and ingenue among such terrible men. Will eventually blame her male relatives for not providing escort.

[–]Consilio_et_Animis 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

"I am unpacking and reprocessing what happened to me..."

Nothing "happened" to her. Rather, she took a clear decision, as a well educated 22 year old adult, to have a sexual affair with a married man.

Did she care at all about his wife, Hillary? Nah.

Then, when she was caught giving POTUS blow-jobs in the Oval Office toilet, she started blubbing, and she STILL blames everyone apart from herself.

Pass the sick bag.

Nope. He was in a position of power. He was head of a country, and she was a lowly staffer. He was in middle age, she was in young adult age.

Its clear that he raped her, just as it'd be clear a 15 year old would be raped by a 30 year old female teacher.

Anyone who can't see the parallelisms is pitiable.

Excellent parody of the kind feminist who wants 'muh kwaltee', but whenever a problem occurs thinks women are too dumb to tie their own shoes and thus can't be responsible for anything.

P.S. You forgot the '/s'.

[–]fac1 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Where is the evidence that he coerced her? That he made her job dependent on their relationship? Please provide this evidence.

I had a super-attractive female boss for years. If she had offered to have sex with me and I accepted, would that have been rape? No, of course not!

[–]mwobuddy -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The threat of job security is IMPLIED by her position relative to him, shitlord!

Just like you'd argue a teacher who fucks a student is raping because of the threat of bad grades being implied by the nature of their relationship.

[–]fac1 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Not sure if you're being serious or not (since you said shitlord), but are you saying that if I tried to sleep with my hot female boss and she allowed it, she would have raped me?

[–]mwobuddy -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No because women don't have power like men.

[–]fac1 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh yeahhh... I forgot. My super-hot female boss had no power, while average-looks grunt-level employee me had all the power. Thank you for reminding me.

[–]mwobuddy -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thats what Im here for.

[–]Consilio_et_Animis 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh dear. You’ve swallowed the whole Cultural Marxism, SJW and Radical 3rd Wave Feminism Instruction Manuals in one go LOL!

When it suits you, you think that all goodness and light flow out of woman’s vaginas. And that women are fluffy little bunny rabbits of innocence and sweetness.

The whole “power imbalance” concept is just a trick to fool and manipulate simple minded folk.

She was an adult. She had something he wanted — a youthful, hot young female body; and he had something she wanted — power and prestige. They did a deal, and she sucked his cock in a toilet.

Then she kept the semen stained blue dress as insurance and a lottery ticket.

Lol, I want Hillary to "listen and believe" Lewinsky.

Always believe the victim, remember your own words Hillary?

[–]Themightysavage 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When pigs fly! Hillary will bury her just like she did last time. She's twofaced, that's why nobody trusts her.

[–]Mythandros 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's 30 years later. You already crucified the guy in the media when it happened. Lewinsky needs to drop dead.

[–]xNOM 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]shydude92 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

bill clinton is a rapist, infowars.com

(finally a thread where this makes sense!!)

[–]shydude92 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is the exact epitome of regret equals rape disguised in a subtly biased quasi-intellectual discussion about the definition of consent.

Basically, what the feminist media are now arguing is that because the man with whom she engaged in sexual acts (Clinton) was the President, and thus had more power than she did, she was not in a position to consent to the sexual act. But the truth of the matter is, if Clinton weren't president, he'd be nothing more than an ordinary middle-aged man hitting on a woman half his age, and would almost certainly have been labelled a creep. It's the power differential itself that allowed the relationship to happen in the first place.

The main upshot of this is that women are naturally attracted to men in positions of power, fame, and high social status (no surprise there, have you heard of the female multimillionaire defense lawyer who got into a relationship with the homeless bum living on the street? Nope, neither have I), and it is because of this power differential that many relationships are allowed to happen. But if the relationship goes sour and the woman experiences any kind of negative consequences in the aftermath of any messy breakup, she can always say that the same power differential forced her to enter into a relationship against her will, and with both the extremely lax standards of what constitutes rape nowadays and the onus on "believing the victim" and not requiring any sort of incriminating evidence against the man involved, the public must now accept that the man is a rapist. This is "regret equals rape" in a nutshell and makes the modern Western world an inherently dangerous place for a man to reside in, since any woman can now claim rape under almost any circumstances, without any need for evidence and even in the presence of evidence suggesting the contrary, simply because she had an unpleasant sexual experience.

[–]MientrasQuien 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Under this ideology any woman a president has sex with is now a victim of rape. Hillary was raped by bill repeatedly. In fact no man can have sex with a woman who is not his physical, economic and political superior or else it's rape.

[–]HowToBeIdle 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I absolutely love this quote from another particular sub:

Instead, a woman who pawned her sexuality to get a questionable degree of influence over the President?

Makes you wonder who else pawned their sexuality to get what they wanted and then had the audacity to claim they were a victim because they regretted doing so.

The only reason the feminists are attacking her is because they must protect Hillary & Bill at all costs.

45 year old banging a 21 year old.

What a creep.

But the truth of the matter is, if Clinton weren't president, he'd be nothing more than an ordinary middle-aged man hitting on a woman half his age, and would almost certainly have been labelled a creep. It's the power differential itself that allowed the relationship to happen in the first place.

Which just proves how the Power Dynamic favored him doing something he shouldn't be able to do because older males are creeps.

[–]deconstruct2000 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

My sister said that Lewinsky suffered far more than Bill Clinton did. She also says he was never taken to task for what he did. I disagree with both points.

[–]giveitago 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Well, pretty much the woman never bounces back. Look at Paula Broadwell who had an affair with Petraeus. He's teaching at a war college now and she can't find a job. Working on her PhD but her research was on him so gotta start over plus who would want to sign on as an advisor on that committee? Life's hard enough. Her husband forgave her. That's really more than she could hope for.

[–]deconstruct2000 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I think its just simply a case of Petraeus and Clinton having more resources. I just saw on Wikipedia that Broadwell started her own media consulting firm, so she doesn't seem to be doing too badly.

[–]giveitago 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

True. I think it's also the expectation that for a woman to do that she's irredeemable whereas for a man it's what do you expect. A man can clean himself up but you can't unwhore a woman, so to speak. Forever sullied.

[–]deconstruct2000 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't necessarily agree with that. Plenty of women have had affairs and bounced back.

[–]giveitago 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Media Consulting Firm = Nobody will hire me so I'll make lemonade out of lemons. I can start my own media consulting firm tomorrow. Doesn't make me a player. Her husband is probably bankrolling her. That man is a saint.

[–]deconstruct2000 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Might be successful, you never know. At the end of the day, we are accountable for actions, and the consequences.
